Minimum component volume

Set a nonnegative volume threshold in m^3 for retaining disconnected components during repair.

Set a nonnegative volume threshold in m^3 for retaining disconnected components during repair.

Location

Geometry workspace → Import → Minimum component volume

Initial value: 0[m^3].

Units: m^3. Enter a compatible quantity.

Set a nonnegative volume threshold in m^3 for retaining disconnected components during repair. Zero specifies no positive minimum volume. Compare the retained parts against the source so small real components are not discarded.

Using the value

Edit the Import feature, choose Build All Geometry, then inspect the imported dimensions, domains and any repair diagnostics before meshing.

Troubleshooting

Check file availability, actual format and source scale first. Repair may change geometry; inspect small features and part boundaries rather than accepting a completed import alone.
