Geometry workspace; System → Geometry

How to use it

Set the ring and tube dimensions, then position the torus around its intended axis. Choose Build All Geometry to update Graphics.

OriginCenterCenter uses the entered center coordinates. Corner currently adds Major radius + Minor radius in x and y, and Minor radius in z in global coordinates. These offsets are not rotated with a tilted axis; prefer Center and explicit coordinates for tilted placement.
Major radius0.75[m]Set the distance from the ring center to the tube centerline. Major radius must exceed Minor radius to retain a valid ring opening. Use a positive length in metres or compatible units, such as 10[mm].
Minor radius0.2[m]Set the tube radius, not the outer radius of the ring. Keep it smaller than Major radius. Use a positive length in metres or compatible units, such as 10[mm].
Center X0[m]Set the global x coordinate of the torus center in metres or compatible units. Review Origin because some primitives apply an additional Corner offset.
Center Y0[m]Set the global y coordinate of the torus center in metres or compatible units. Review Origin because some primitives apply an additional Corner offset.

Axis X0Set the dimensionless x component of the torus symmetry axis. The three components are normalized, so their magnitude does not change the object size. Use a nonzero vector; a zero vector currently falls back to global +z.
Axis Y0Set the dimensionless y component of the torus symmetry axis. The three components are normalized, so their magnitude does not change the object size. Use a nonzero vector; a zero vector currently falls back to global +z.
Axis Z1Set the dimensionless z component of the torus symmetry axis. The three components are normalized, so their magnitude does not change the object size. Use a nonzero vector; a zero vector currently falls back to global +z.

Result

Built solids and their selectable entities appear in Graphics.

Troubleshooting

Check that the tube size leaves the intended central opening and does not intersect itself.
