Slot Profile

Draw a rounded slot outline for a cutout or extruded feature.

Geometry workspace; System → Geometry

Set the slot dimensions on a work plane, then use it in the appropriate solid operation. Choose Build All Geometry to update Graphics.

Setting	Initial value	Meaning
Work plane	`Work Plane 1`	Choose the label of an earlier Work Plane in the geometry sequence. Its center and local u/v directions place the profile in space. Correct a missing-plane warning before using the profile; the fallback plane is not proof that the intended reference was found.
Length	`1[m]`	Set the overall slot length along local u, including the rounded ends. The end radius is the smaller of Width / 2 and Length / 2. Use a positive length in metres or compatible units, such as 10[mm].
Width	`0.35[m]`	Set the transverse slot width along local v. The end radius is the smaller of Width / 2 and Length / 2; Width greater than Length does not create that larger transverse extent. Use a positive length in metres or compatible units, such as 10[mm].
Center U	`0[m]`	Offset the profile center along local u from the selected work plane center. Values are lengths in metres or compatible units, not global coordinates. Tilting the work plane tilts these local directions.
Center V	`0[m]`	Offset the profile center along local v from the selected work plane center. Values are lengths in metres or compatible units, not global coordinates. Tilting the work plane tilts these local directions.
Segments	`12`	Choose the number of straight segments approximating each semicircular end. The current calculation rounds to an integer and uses at least 4 per end. Increase it to inspect a smoother outline; it is not the later volume-mesh element count.

Built solids and their selectable entities appear in Graphics.

Check that the overall length can accommodate the rounded ends.
