Circle Profile
Draw a circular planar cross-section.
Draw a circular planar cross-section.
Where to find it
Geometry workspace; System → Geometry
How to use it
Set its radius and position, then select it as an input to Extrude or Revolve. Choose Build All Geometry to update Graphics.
Settings and initial values
| Setting | Initial value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Work plane | Work Plane 1 | Choose the label of an earlier Work Plane in the geometry sequence. Its center and local u/v directions place the profile in space. Correct a missing-plane warning before using the profile; the fallback plane is not proof that the intended reference was found. |
| Radius | 0.25[m] | Set the radius of the circle in the selected work plane, not a three-dimensional sphere radius. Use a positive length in metres or compatible units, such as 10[mm]. |
| Center U | 0[m] | Offset the profile center along local u from the selected work plane center. Values are lengths in metres or compatible units, not global coordinates. Tilting the work plane tilts these local directions. |
| Center V | 0[m] | Offset the profile center along local v from the selected work plane center. Values are lengths in metres or compatible units, not global coordinates. Tilting the work plane tilts these local directions. |
Result
Built solids and their selectable entities appear in Graphics.
Troubleshooting
Use a profile for an extrusion; use Sphere or Cylinder when that solid is already the intended result.
