Union
Combine selected solids into one geometric result.
Combine selected solids into one geometric result.
Where to find it
Geometry workspace; System → Geometry
How to use it
Choose the input objects and build the operation after those objects in the geometry sequence. Choose Build All Geometry to update Graphics.
Settings and initial values
| Setting | Initial value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Objects | all | Select at least two earlier solids by label or a named selection; all selects the available inputs. Inspect overlap and the resulting interfaces. Raw imported surfaces are not automatically valid solid Boolean inputs. |
| Keep input entities | false | When enabled, retain the original selected objects as well as the operation result. When disabled, replace the selected inputs with the result. Retained overlapping solids can require different material or mesh selections; inspect them before solving. |
| Keep interior boundaries | false | This saved option is currently not applied by the geometry build to preserve interfaces. Do not depend on it to keep material-domain boundaries; inspect the built domains and use separate retained solids when that is the intended model. |
Result
Built solids and their selectable entities appear in Graphics.
Troubleshooting
Inspect interfaces after the union; downstream boundary selections may need updating.
