Axis Y

Set the dimensionless y component of the primitive axis.

Set the dimensionless y component of the primitive axis.

Location

Geometry workspace → Ellipsoid → Axis Y

Initial value: 0.

Set the dimensionless y component of the primitive axis. The three components are normalized, so their magnitude does not change the object size. Use a nonzero vector; a zero vector currently falls back to global +z.

Using the value

Set the dimensions and placement, then choose Build All Geometry. Inspect the built shape before assigning domains or generating a mesh.

Troubleshooting

Check radius versus diameter, units, Origin and axis direction. With tilted primitives, prefer Center and explicit coordinates rather than assuming Corner follows the rotated bounding box.
