Close edges

Enable or disable additional Netgen sizing for closely spaced edges.

Location

Mesh → Swept / Mapped → Size → Close edges

Initial value: false.

When false, the close-edge factor is omitted from Netgen so that a stored factor cannot silently enable this sizing rule. When true, Close edge factor controls the rule. These Netgen controls do not change the supported structured box-meshing path; use its size and through-thickness controls instead.

Using the value

Enable it when nearby geometric edges need additional resolution and inspect the resulting mesh.

Troubleshooting

Accepts a boolean value. If changing the factor has no effect, check that Close edges is enabled.
