Selection

Choose the boundaries associated with Boundary Layer.

Location

Mesh → Boundary Layer → Selection

Initial value: all.

all selects the applicable boundaries; otherwise use a named selection or the selection editor. In the supported structured meshing path the layer count contributes a global minimum-edge sizing constraint; this selection does not establish a locally extruded layer stack.

Using the value

Select the intended boundaries, inspect their highlight and choose Build Mesh; for solution-driven adaptation, run the supported study.

Troubleshooting

An empty or outdated selection can miss the intended geometry. Check the entity dimension and do not infer local refinement merely from a stored selection.
