Layers

Set the layer-count parameter used by the structured mesh sizing constraint.

Location

Mesh → Boundary Layer → Layers

Initial value: 3.

Enter a positive integer. The supported structured meshing path uses Layers as a global minimum-edge division requirement; it is not a guaranteed stack of extruded prism layers, nor a prescribed physical layer thickness. The bounding-box preview may show extra boundary points; inspect the completed solver mesh separately.

Using the value

Keep an enabled volume generator, rebuild and inspect actual thin-region elements and solution convergence.

Troubleshooting

A layer count alone does not resolve a physical boundary layer. Check the structured minimum-edge resource limit if the count is rejected.
