Initial value: 0[W/m^3].

Units: W/m^3. Enter a compatible quantity.

Enter a volumetric rate in W/m^3, not total power in W or a surface flux in W/m^2. Positive values add heat. Negative values remove heat. Zero adds no heat source. For a uniform source, total power is the rate multiplied by the selected volume.

Using the value

Inspect the domain selection, enter the source rate, and rerun the study to update temperature results.

Troubleshooting

If the temperature response is unexpected, check the sign, selected volume, conductivity and temperature or heat-flux boundary conditions.
