Import

Bring an existing geometry file into the model instead of rebuilding it from primitives.

Where to find it

Geometry workspace → Import

How to use it

Choose Import, then select the new or existing feature in Model Builder. Choose the file, confirm its length scale, and review import or repair messages before building a mesh.

Result

Built solids and their selectable entities appear in Graphics.

Troubleshooting

An open or self-intersecting surface may not define a solid. Inspect repairs and dimensional accuracy before trusting a repaired import.
